To infinity, and beyond! ...unless there are vampires there.

Quite frankly, this "blog" (groan) is a good idea, and itll really contribute to my severe dnd withdrawl, since due to the insanity of school, i havent gotten anything accomplished, and if someone says "hey, wanna do something in a month" i respond "sorry, i have school work to do" Thats right, my life sucks. Anyways, on to dnd. Those of you who know of my DMing probably also know that my next campaign in the works takes place in my normal place, and is pretty much revolving on the development of character backrounds, making the gameplay, at least in the beginning, really RP heavy (those of you who were in the Vampire forum know what i'm talking about). Pretty much, I'd love some input on how i can get this pregame part of the task out of the way without having to deal with the equally busyness of my players... Wow, i feel like i said nothing. whatever.

First (Real) Post

In terms of where i see this blog going, I see it being a kind of looing glass into a collective workspace for D&D and other RPG;s but hey the sky is the limit. It starts with just me, but i've already asked my closest D&D associates to join me here. Will they? i have no clue, but they each have had great ideas in the past, and D&D has always been a communal effort between players and DM's. This blog is no different. Except we aren't all around the same table, but we are around our computers. This allows for us to post lots anf lots of text, and let thhe other people view at their leisure, but it has disadvatages as well. We lose the closeness, the interpersonal relations that made the game great.

However, I think it is possible to do a little background work here, to increase the fun at the next sessions. That way, when it comes time for the games, we'll have all the mechanics blcoked, and balanced out, so we can get straight to the fun.
